While studying economics at Harvard, Co-founder/CEO Alexander Wallin developed an innovative idea to redesign the investment market for the new generation investors, and the concept of a social investing network was born. Equipped with the idea, Alex returned to the University of California San Diego to conduct research on "The Application of Crowdsourcing on Active Portfolio Management."
After months of research, aided by Dr. Ross Star and Dr. Alex Kane, Alex formulated the "Voting Power Model." The model demonstrated that portfolio performance improved as the number of users in the network increased.
To transform the theory into an actual startup, Alex obtained professional advice from associates at JMI equity, brought on a seasoned startup veteran with international experience as well as his brother, Christoffer Wallin.
After much collaboration with advisors within range of diversified field, assembling a team of Sweden's most savvy software developers, and several all-nighters, an interactive social trading platform came to life.
As SprinkleBit's CEO I'm blessed with a great team around me. My task is to steer the boat in the right direction and make sure that all our members are getting the most out of our site.
My previous experience spans form Private Equity, Executive Search, Radio, to Retail. I also served as a Team Leader and Reconnaissance Ranger in the Swedish Army.
My first investing experience was at the age of 14 with the money I earned from working at an Ice Cream kiosk.
When I'm not building investment platforms and interacting with the securities industry I love to play soccer.
If you have any great ideas or just want to chat about the financial markets add me as a friend on SprinkleBit.

As a part of our dedicated development team I do my very best to make sure that a visit to the Sprinklebit site is worth your time, by adding more interesting features and by enhancing those that we already provide.
I've been studying game development for three years, and since games play such an important role in many aspects of evolving the business and result of future software,
we're tought everything... From basic programming structures and algorithms to advanced physics simulations and 3D visualizations, optimization procedures, network programming,
security procedures, how to work in teams and most importantly how to survive days in front of a computer monitor to meet impossible deadlines.
The step from that to being a fulltime web developer here at Sprinklebit was a surprisingly short one.
In addition to that I'm one of the four founders of VividIce, a Sweden based company which offers a wide range of services with a focus on digital interactive media, design, web and visual effects for both mobile and stationary platforms.
As the development of the site progresses I'm hoping to get some time to develop some neat, never had been seen before web features. So keep your eyes open for some cool shit ;)
Experienced web developer.
Running my own company named Redward.
Marketing Director at SprinkleBit with interests in anthropology, psychology, digital culture, surfing, technology, innovation, and startups. Recent transplant to San Diego and enjoying every day as I make this wonderful city my new home!
Among many things I'm the head of design at SprinkleBit, that means I work on a wide spectrum of things related to the designing of our website - alongside all of its new features popping up -- and all kinds of things that relate to it.
I'm also one of the four founders of the newly formed digital media group Vividice, working on all kinds of digital arts projects and interactive media - Video Games, Websites, Video, VFX and so on.
When I'm not working I also attend a University here in Sweden (studying the phenomena known as Digital Media), and I really enjoy playing video games in my free time (oh, if I've got some of that, that is).
As a computer science graduate student at UC San Diego, I'm specializing in machine learning and natural language processing. I'm also developing the trading infrastructure for SprinkleBit.
Until last year, I worked as a Senior Associate in Technology at Morgan Stanley, where I helped design and develop sub-systems for low-latency trading. Prior to that, I worked as a research intern at the Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc), and a research assistant at INSEAD Business School - Singapore.
I also enjoy traveling to new places, reading, hiking, swimming, snowboarding and playing my six-string acoustic.
As SprinkleBits Marketing Associate I like to work collaboratively with the SprinkleBit team to convey the benefits and joy that comes from trading and being a part of the SprinkleBit Social Community.
I am a Seattle native who loves to be outside and active. I enjoy playing all sports.
I care greatly about the people in my life and love spending time with my friends and family.
I'm really excited to be working for SprinkleBit and spreading the word about this amazing website to the rest of the world. While I am not busy at work creating buzz about SprinkleBit, I love to travel and test new recipes in the kitchen.
I'm currently working in operations research for a telecom firm and have done research for the Port of Long Beach, Scripps Hospital, and Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce. My intention is to help bring an Economic perspective to Finance and how it is directly tied to expectations and performance of the market.
While attending UCSD studying Economcs I met Alex Wallin where we often worked together on our individual research projects and when SprinkleBit began to take shape I offered to offer assistance in any way I could. Like so many other great beginnings, SprinkleBit began as an idea in college and I'll never forget the day he first mentioned his idea and thinking it to be one of the most unique ideas I had heard.
I own NeatFreak, a professional organizing and bookkeeping company. I have been working with clients in the San Diego area since 1998. I have a wide variety of clients to assist them in achieving their goal of having an organized workplace, home or family as well as financial organization. I have recently become a notary public to make it more convenient for my clients to have their signatures notarized.
When I am not learning more about stock trading here at Sprinklebit I work with Operational Excellence at Ericsson AB. Within my job I lead large scale IT projects and change management projects at Ericssons orderoffice. I have been following Sprinklebits development since Alexander came up with the idea. During these times I have acted as an advisor trying to provide feedback, ideas and suggestion how Sprinklebit can appeal to stock traders around the world.
